When I started boxing, I immediately fell in love with the full-body workout that it provides. Every session requires you to be totally present and challenges you physically in different ways, and the mental strength, confidence and sense of calm it provided me was second to none.
I wanted to spread the word, so started boxing with clients and watched as they too were transformed by the experience. Teaching people how to box one-on-one showed me the amazing impact it has on energy and mood, and this inspired me to want to share those results with as many people as I can. This is where the concept of Studio Box was born!
I assembled a team and we travelled to Los Angeles and New York to explore the fitness market there, finally deciding to open our own studio here in New Zealand. We want to give boxing to the everyday person, in a welcoming, positive and non-intimidating way.
